An API limit is a tool for fairness, not just a restriction

Without clear rate limits, one noisy neighbor can take down the service for every other user. Many products fail because they don’t communicate these limits until the user suddenly hits a wall. This lack of transparency destroys developer trust.

I have managed high-traffic API platforms where uptime is critical. I’d focus on exposing limit headers and quotas so users can build resilient integrations.
